The Wildlife Art course provides the unique opportunity to observe and sketch South Africa's Fauna and Flora in their natural surroundings. It is an introductory course to bush art where you can learn to sketch and paint wildlife while on an art safari.

Aim of the Wildlife Art course:

Wildlife art classes are the perfect way to release your creative potential and gain access at a conscious level to your inventive, intuitive and imaginative powers. The course is structured to encourage you to express your individuality in your own style and to make your thoughts visible through perceptual skills. Our art safari teaches you to use the right hemisphere of your brain and enjoy the beauty of colour.

Our Wildlife Art course includes the following:

  • An introduction to bush art - the identification, sketching and painting of wildlife and plant species, game drives and nature walks.

  • An artistic foundation course - a series of art exercises to "see" differently and discover a new visual language, original ideas and true creativity. Exercises are ongoing throughout the course.

  • The study of the anatomy and movement of African wild animals.

  • Colour - as though seeing it for the first time.

  • Drawing and releasing the artist within.

  • Discussions and fun activities.

  • Trips to Kruger National Park that will awaken your interest in the familiar Big 5 animals as well as the often overlooked smaller creatures that make the South African bush truly amazing.
